Purposes

• The Department of Software Engineering aims to train qualified engineers who can develop various sectoral software that Turkey needs in the most reliable and highest quality way by contributing to technological developments.
• An important goal of the department is to ensure that graduating students can work in different roles in the software industry or start their own businesses.
• To raise individuals who can contribute to research and developments in the field of software engineering by providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for an academic career.
• To encourage students to participate in events such as conferences, symposiums and workshops so that they can follow technological developments.

Goals

• To provide students with a solid foundation in basic software engineering subjects and to gain competence in subjects such as algorithmic thinking, programming skills, data structures and algorithms.
• To teach general principles within the engineering discipline and to develop problem-solving abilities.
• To give importance to project-based learning and group work in order to provide students with effective communication and cooperation skills within the team.
• To raise awareness among students about compliance with ethical rules, social responsibility awareness and professional behavior standards in the engineering profession.
• To provide students with the skills of being open to continuous learning, self-improvement and staying up-to-date in the rapidly changing technological environment.
